Dear Uma Mam,
How are you? Hope things are good at your end. I am writing this email to share some good news with you.
The University conducted the 3rd annual "Thesis in 3" event. How it works is that, each department will conduct the competition. The top 3 will go through to the college round. The best three from there compete in the UC final. In total 15 finalists took part in this event (3 from each college).
I won the chemical and process engineering round and the college of engineering round. I got a chance to compete in the grand finals. And guess what I won the third prize (2000NZD)!
Following this success, the university published an article on my research.
I was also interviewed by Radion NZ last week.
All this would not have been possible had I not walked into your office three years ago. Thank you very much for all the help and support CWEH offered me back in 2009.
